High Dosage Tutoring: Accelerating Student Learning with LCPS Interventionist Program for Success

Diane Heath has been an educator for 35 years in Lenoir County Public Schools. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. After retiring in July 2021, she chose to return to Lenoir County Public Schools in April 2022 to serve as the District-Lead Intervention Services coordinator. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Intermediate Education and earned her MSA from East Carolina University. She is passionate about coaching and leading retired teachers and others, who are dedicated to working with students in small group settings to reduce learning gaps and deficiencies. Her experiences as a teacher and an administrator have proven to be very effective in leading this innovative initiative in LCPS that creates opportunities for students to show growth and become more successful. She is compassionate about public education and serving Lenoir County Public Schools.
