Jamie Synan currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent for Moore County Schools. She joined Moore County Schools in 2022, first serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Academics and Student Support Services. Before that, Mrs. Synan had an extensive career with Scotland County Schools, where she served in various roles, including teacher, principal, Director of Student Support Services, and Chief Academic Officer. She also has experience as a teacher and assistant principal with Randolph County Schools. Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Mrs. Synan was honored as the 2012 Wells Fargo District Principal of the Year and served as President of the North Carolina Principals and Assistant Principals Association (NCPAPA) for Region 4 from 2011 to 2014. She completed the NCPAPA Distinguished Leadership in Practice program in 2012 and the NCSSA Aspiring Superintendent Program Cohort IX in 2025, where she was awarded the Dr. Sam Houston Leadership Award.
