Katarina Adam (PhD Dr.-Ing.) is a professor at the HTW Berlin, Department Business Administration and Engineering. She lectures in Corporate Finance, Accounting and Controlling. Her personal quest is to enable students in our complex and numerical orientated world to understand and effectively communicate the languages of numerical data.
Furthermore, she is co-founder of SIMMST a.s., a startup that offers a blockchain-based reputation platform for tenants and landlords.
In addition, she is the author of the white paper "Project Hurricane", which deals with the transfer of ownership of real estate. The prototype will be fully programmed by the end of the year.
The focus of her research and teaching activities is blockchain technology with the possibilities of application in the real world, taking into account the financial aspects. The fascinating characteristic for Katarina is the linking of technology and economy in the transfer to the real world.
Before she turned to teaching and research, she successfully led her own real estate company in Berlin.
