Amanda Preston is a nonprofit executive with 40+ years in nonprofit leadership. She served at the Center for Astrophysics and at Harvard University, the University of Wisconsin, and The Currier Museum, among others. She is active in professional development/ethics work as a mentor and coach.
She has a strong track-record in grants, securing multi- millions from government agencies, national, state, and local foundations, corporate foundations/sponsorship programs, and other organizations.
Amanda's background encompasses individual philanthropy, external relations, board work, legislative affairs, and mission-critical programming. She is skilled in inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional nonprofit partnerships and collaborations.
Amanda now consults with the leaders of scientific and educational institutions in matters of strategy, planning, positioning, program development, research collaborations, and funding.
A co-founder and a past president of the AFP-NNE Chapter, Amanda graduated from Wellesley College, with additional coursework at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She lives and maintains her office in Andover, Massachusetts.
