Meagan is a dedicated public health professional with a wealth of experience in prevention and health promotion frameworks. Currently the Senior Manager of Community Care at IPC Health, Meagan has spent over a decade in the field of community health, championing innovative programs and services aimed at addressing the social determinants of health for communities experiencing inequity. She is excited about the potential impact of social prescribing to address social determinants of health and improve the gaps in Australia's health and social service systems.
Maria Hussey – Wellbeing Coordinator (Nurse) IPC Health
Maria Hussey is an experienced Registered Nurse with a demonstrated history of working in Primary and Community Care. Maria has undertaken post graduate studies in Advising on Chronic Disease Management and Training and Assessment. She led a team of clinicians to implement a health service navigation pilot in partnership with a large tertiary hospital and established a nurse led chronic disease management program within a new general practice. She is an experienced facilitator and contributor towards chronic disease management programs. Maria has a special interest in empowering people with knowledge to reach their full potential. As part of a team that implemented one of the first Australian social prescribing pilots, Maria has been involved in the program’s development, application and evaluation, within the context of a Community Health service.
