Dr Karine Manera is a Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney. She completed her PhD in 2020 for which she was awarded the Peter Bancroft Prize for Research Work. She holds a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Investigator Award and is an Emerging Leaders Fellow of the Women's Health Research, Translation and Impact Network. Karine has experience in qualitative and quantitative research to improve patient-centred care in chronic disease, and has an interest in consumer engagement in research. She is a coordinating committee member of the global Standardised Outcomes in Nephrology (SONG) Initiative (
www.songinitiative.org) and the Patient-Centred Research Network (PACER,
www.pacernetwork.org.au).
