Lyn Worsley B.A.hons(psych), R.N.,MAPS Lyn is a highly accomplished Clinical Psychologist with a rich background in Nursing and Teaching. As the director of the Resilience Centre in Sydney, Australia, she has spearheaded significant and original research and training initiatives that have profoundly influenced solution-focused and client-centred therapies for over 26 years. At the Resilience Centre, Lyn collaborates with a team of specialist psychologists to coordinate a wide array of community seminars, training workshops, and resilience groups catering to individuals of all ages. Through her leadership, the Centre has established specialised clinics for youth facing eating difficulties and adults dealing with past trauma, as well as a unique service for separated families utilising a solution-focused family intervention model. Lyn is also renowned as the author of the Resilience Doughnut, a ground-breaking model that identifies strong contexts where resilience is nurtured during development and adulthood. This model has evolved into a foundational ecological framework for resilience, garnering international recognition. The Resilience Doughnut has been validated psychometrically as a valuable tool for individuals seeking to identify their most potent and supportive resources, facilitating personalised social prescribing for mental and physical health. In addition to her professional endeavours, Lyn is pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at Charles Darwin University, focusing on research with a socio-economic objective for mental health services.
