Stephanie Tierney is an Associate Professor at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford. Her research centres on social prescribing, which she has explored using realist research and mixed methods. In particular, she has studied the link worker role in England and the role of the cultural sector in social prescribing. She is also interested in skills mix in healthcare and the introduction of new roles into primary care like social prescribing link workers. Stephanie leads a network of academics, clinicians, providers, policy makers and members of the public - the Oxford Social Prescribing Research Network (https://socialprescribing.phc.ox.ac.uk/).
