Session 4: "Satisfied in Every Season"
9:40 AM - 10:25 AM Sat
Amy Johnson grew up in Maryland, and she came to South Carolina after graduating from high school to attend the Evangelical Institute of Greenville. Having come to Christ at a young age, she was hungry to know and love Him better, and she knew from having attended summer conferences at the Institute that it is a wonderful place to seek His face. After attending there for two years and earning an Associates degree in Biblical studies, she was surprised to learn that part of God's plan for her life was to marry "Mr. Johnson", a teacher she greatly loved and admired for his Christ-centeredness. They were married in 1989, and served the Lord together for 31 years before the Lord suddenly and unexpectedly called Dan Home to Heaven earlier this year, on January 7, 2021.
The whole Johnson family - Dan and Amy and their eleven children - have been involved in The Academy of Arts since 2002, taking part in productions and seminars and short films. Their oldest son Zachary earned his degrees through The Academy of Arts and currently serves the Lord on staff, and their son Jed is currently enrolled in the Conservatory program.
Amy has written several short devotionals for busy moms and also been invited to speak at numerous women's conferences and events. Her heart's desire is to encourage everyone to fix their gaze upon the Lord Jesus Himself, since He alone can meet the need of every heart, and He is worthy of all love and praise. She looks forward to sharing at the Ladies of the Logos conference for the second year in a row, speaking about being "Satisfied in every season."
