11:30 AM - 12:40 PM Wed
Simon leads a team that delivers innovative energy solutions that support decarbonisation and sustainability across higher education and industry. With over a decade of experience at Siemens, he has been involved in creating Europe's largest microgrid at Keele University, enabling the integration of 5MW of solar PV, 2MW wind, and battery storage. He has helped organisations like the University of Birmingham transform their campus through the rollout of 23,000 IoT sensors, enabling significant improvements in operational efficiency and space utilisation. He has also created an innovative partnership with the University of East London that will enable them to achieve net zero by 2030. He has a deep understanding of off-balance sheet financing, which has enabled his customers to deliver large scale decarbonisation without capital expenditure.
