Ruth Arnold has worked in international and higher education for over 20 years, and is Executive Director External Affairs for global international education provider Study Group. Ruth has provided corporate communications consultancy services to a number of U.K. charities and universities, including the University of Oxford and Imperial College, London. As Director of Public Affairs at The University of Sheffield, she led the development of the award-winning #WeAreInternational campaign backed by students and all U.K. universities, sector bodies and business organisations such as the Confederation for British Business, the Institute of Directors and Chamber of Commerce. Ruth also supported the establishment of the All Party Parliamentary Group on International Students, lobbied for the reintroduction of post-study work and has given evidence in Parliament on the positive impact of international students on regional health and economies. Ruth continues to be closely involved in international education policy and how this relates to city regional policies and industrial strategy. In 2020 received the PIE Award for Outstanding Contribution to International Education. She is a senior advisor to the National Indian Students and Alumni Union and a member of the London Higher International Network.
