David Hogenson is a junior at the United States Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. David was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and, at seven years old, was adopted to a family in Bozeman, Montana. David attended high school in Bozeman, and was involved in a mix of sports and extracurricular activities, including, basketball, soccer, mock trial, and Civil Air Patrol, who graciously supported him in gaining his Private Pilot’s License. Following high school, he received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. At the end of his freshman year at the Academy, he was one of nine cadets in his class selected to join the Precision Flying Team. He is pursuing a degree in Aeronautical engineering and, after graduation, hopes to attend pilot training and fly the nation’s frontline airframes.
