Tim Trefren is co-founder and CEO of Recheck, the trust and compliance platform for residential solar. Recheck provides identity verification, certification, and ongoing accountability, helping finance companies, installers, and sales professionals do business with partners they can rely on. Recheck launched in 2024 with SEIA and eight founding industry partners; today, its finance partners collectively represent more than 90% of the U.S. financed residential solar market. To date, Recheck has verified more than 50,000 sales representatives and 700 installers nationwide. Before Recheck, Tim co-founded Mixpanel, a pioneer in product analytics, and spent more than a decade growing it into a platform used by tens of thousands of companies worldwide. He lives in Lyme, New Hampshire.
