Ajay Friesen is Vice President of Energy Solutions at Myers Emergency Power Systems, where he leads the advanced battery energy storage, energy management, microgrid, and virtual power plant business. With nearly 2 decades of experience in renewable energy and energy storage, he has built and led high-performing engineering, product management, marketing, and sales organizations focused on bringing innovative clean energy technologies from concept to commercialization. Prior to Myers, Ajay served as Vice President of Product and Marketing at Salient Energy and held multiple leadership positions at SunPower, including Director of Commercial Product Management, where he was responsible for strategic product roadmaps supporting hundreds of megawatts of annual solar deployments. Known for combining deep technical expertise with business strategy, Ajay specializes in accelerating product development, scaling organizations, and delivering customer-focused energy solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Manitoba and has completed business administration studies through University of California, Berkeley Extension.
