Doug Davis
Purdue University Engineering Graduate and an Experienced Renewable Energy Professional
Doug Davis is a Purdue University engineering graduate and an experienced renewable energy professional with more than three decades of experience in engineering and the built environment. Doug spent the first 25 years of his professional career in the New York City metropolitan region, where he developed extensive experience across a range of engineering and energy-related projects. In 2019, he relocated to Puerto Rico, where he has focused his professional efforts on renewable energy, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and distributed energy solutions. Doug is active in advancing electric transportation and renewable energy throughout Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Through his involvement with the Electric Vehicle Association of Puerto Rico and other industry initiatives, he contributes to efforts to accelerate the adoption of cleaner, more resilient, and more efficient energy and transportation technologies. As an engineer with a passion for efficiency, Doug brings a practical perspective to the rapidly evolving energy marketplace. He is particularly interested in the opportunities that renewable energy generation, energy storage, electric transportation, and distributed energy resources can create for Puerto Rico—strengthening energy resilience while supporting the Island’s transition toward a lower-carbon energy future.
