Prior to coming to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, Chad retired from the Greensboro Police Department with twenty-eight (28) years of experience as a police officer. He served as a Captain assigned to the Operational Support Division where his duties included overseeing and operations of the School Resource Officer program, operational planning, emergency management and special/tactical operations. Chad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). He is also a graduate of the Administrative Officers Management Program at NC State University and the Senior Management Institute for Police through the Police Executive Research Forum. Chad is a trainer of the Standard Response Protocol and Standard Reunification Method. He also serves as a liaison with law enforcement and emergency management partners.
