From Filters to Comprehensive Safety: How Districts Use AI to Unite Device Monitoring, Mental Health Triage, and Threat Response
1:15 PM - 2:00 PM Thu
This session explores how districts are moving beyond basic web filters to build comprehensive, AI‑enabled, holistic safety ecosystems. Participants will learn how K-12 districts are leveraging unified AI technology to transform fragmented safety tools into comprehensive, cost-effective, left-shifted threat prevention systems. Participants will examine the evolution from isolated content filtering to integrated platforms that combine digital threat detection, physical weapon recognition, behavioral health triage, and threat assessment workflows—all while maintaining FERPA/CIPA compliance and reducing administrative burden. Through real-world district case studies and live walkthroughs, attendees will discover how AI-driven consolidation reduces vendor complexity, eliminates detection gaps, and enables multi-disciplinary teams to respond faster with actionable intelligence. Attendees will leave with a practical framework to evaluate AI safety technologies, ask the right questions of vendors, and align these tools with district policies, ethics, and student‑support teams.
