Dr. Stephen Gainey is Superintendent of Randolph County School System, a role he has held since 2013. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Gainey has served in several school districts across the state with over 32 years in NC public education. A strong advocate of Randolph County and its schools, Dr. Gainey feels “the sky is the limit” for the Randolph County School System and its surrounding community. He enjoys being a part of the development of “something special,” which is a school system focused on continuous improvement and positive relationships with all aspects of the community.
