Ryan Dedmon, MA, CMCP, is the Outreach Director for the 911 Training Institute, a private company specializing in training and consulting services for public-safety agencies. A former police officer and retired dispatcher from Southern California, Ryan was recognized as “Telecommunicator of the Year” in 2012 by the Southern California Chapter of APCO International. Since retiring in 2013, he has dedicated his career to public-safety training. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology and is a Certified CIT Coordinator and California POST-Certified Academy Instructor at the Regional Criminal Justice Training Center at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. He integrates his education and lived-experience to help first-responders recover and grow from post-traumatic stress.
