Tiffany Akins is an Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, where she supports students in discovering their passions within foundational sciences, including exercise physiology and biomechanics. She earned her PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she developed a strong commitment to mentoring and advising students. Her scholarly work focuses on rural healthcare needs and the social determinants of equity affecting these communities. This work informs her teaching and mentorship, as she strives to foster cultural humility, leadership, and inclusive practices among future healthcare professionals.
