Rachid TAIBI is General Manager and Senior Director of the Photonics and Cloud AI Business Unit at SOITEC. In his role, he is in charge of the business growth of all activities embedding photonics applications, optical interconnects, image sensing and MEMS. Before joining SOITEC this year in 2024, Rachid spent more than 15 years in high tech companies mainly in the semiconductor industry. After his first years at STMicroelectronics and CEA-Léti, where he obtained his PhD on Hybrid bonding technology for 3D integration, he joined the Sensors and Microtechnology Unit at ONERA (French National Aerospace Research Centre) in 2012, where his research interests included sensor design and development for the aerospace industry. In 2014, he joined iXblue as an R&D MEMS engineer and project manager. Then, he launched and led the MEMS activities in 2017 including R&D and manufacturing of inertial sensors and systems and he became a member of the executive committee board of iXblue. Since 2021, he has worked at Dassault Systèmes as a technical director, empowering High-tech companies with sustainable and digital experiences, spanning the spectrum from the semiconductor industry to consumer electronics, and digital infrastructures.
