Debra works as an K-5 Science Consultant in the Office of Teaching and Learning at NCDPI. She has a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on STEM Education. Prior to joining NCDPI, Debra worked as a classroom teacher and science specialist. During this time she was a Kenan Fellow and received National Board Certification. Global education, environmental education and citizen science are passions that she has cultivated throughout her experience in K-12 Science Education.
