Melanie Taylor has worked at Burke since 1986. She served as the Chief Administrative Officer from 2003 to 2018, and in 2018 was appointed to the position of Deputy CEO. In June 2019, Ms. Taylor assumed the role of CEO and is responsible for organizational planning, operations, budgeting, supervision, and monitoring of the organization.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in rehabilitation and a Masters of Science degree in business management and recently completed a master’s degree from Texas A&M in public management. Ms. Taylor is a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, the Mental Health Corporations of America and the Texas Council of Community MHMR Centers CEO Consortia. She also serves on a Statewide Managed Care Steering Committee and Contracts and Fiscal Imperative Committee.
