Robin Aleman is a mental health professional currently focusing on educating the community on the signs and symptoms of mental health disorders. She holds the degrees of Bachelor Social Work and Master Social Work with a focus on women and families.
Post-graduation Robin has worked with children in foster care as the director of a 90-day emergency shelter and for the last three years as a CASA Advocate. Robin was the Director of Social Service for a psychiatric nursing facility in Houston.
Robin has raised three children as a single parent and is currently raising her beautiful granddaughter. She assists in the daily care of her elderly mother deals with dementia daily as her father recently passed away. Robin understands that trauma is something we all live though and face daily.
All these experiences culminate in her current role as a Mental Health First Aid Independent Instructor and mentor. She assists other instructors daily and teaches virtually across the nation. Her goal is that every person you pass on the street has taken Mental Health First Aid (she calls it a talking class). She believes that we will all have a much better place to live in if we can just learn to talk to each other and understand each other better.
