Paul C. Godfrey is the William and Roceil Low Professor of Business Strategy at the BYU Marriott School of Business. He recently received the school’s Outstanding Faculty Member award in 2022. Dr. Godfrey’s research has appeared in numerous outlets, including Nature Biotechnology and the Academy of Management Review. He has authored five books, two of which are textbooks on the topics of strategy and ethics in business. His 2020 book Strategic Risk Management: New Tools for Competitive Advantage in an Uncertain World helps executives and leaders understand, monitor, and manage the risks and opportunities central to strategic success. His latest book (in process) is Clean: 100 Years of Sustainability at Ecolab and What Your Company Can Learn, provides leaders with the pathway to contribute to a more sustainable world.
In 2021, Dr. Godfrey became a founding member and advisor to the Society of Bank Executives, an organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of those leading America’s banks.
Dr. Godfrey received his MBA and PhD degrees from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah.
