Roy Torbert is the Chief Program Officer at Third Derivative, a global venture capital accelerator that helps climate tech entrepreneurs find a faster, more reliable path to market. Roy leads work in sectors critical to climate; heavy industry, power, transportation, buildings, carbon markets, agriculture, forestry, and land-use. Roy was previously a Business Executive on District Systems and Energy with Google, focused on microgrids for mixed-use urban districts, and before that, a Senior Principal at RMI, overseeing programs in Puerto Rico and Southeast Asia. Along with numerous partners, Roy supported the creation of Act 17 and clean energy projects across Puerto Rico.
