A graduate from the School of Law of the University of Puerto Rico, Mariamelia Sueiro Álvarez, Esq., has five years of experience in the public sector. She is currently a Special Aide in the Workforce Development Program at the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce.
Within her role, she seeks to ensure that job seekers, displaced workers, and young people in and out of school have access to new employment opportunities, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market. She previously served as the Legal Director for the Government of Puerto Rico Women’s Advocate Office, focusing on enacting, and protecting the rights of Puerto Rican women. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in criminal justice and a minor in business administration from Villanova University.
