Jemaris Martes is a Business Development Specialist at Glenn International, driving Utility-Scale Renewable Energy projects in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. With a strong commitment to collaboration and industry-leading solutions, Jemaris seeks partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure energy projects align with the region's needs and promote energy and food resilience for communities. With prior experience at GE Renewable Energy, Jemaris brings expertise in wind turbine product design, value engineering, system reliability, and data analytics. Her training through GE's Edison Engineering Development Program encompassed onshore and offshore wind, hydroelectric, grid modernization, and energy storage projects.
Beyond her professional role, Jemaris is an advocate for energy equity and climate action. As a Climate Reality Leader and Advanced Energy Group Fellow, she actively engages in stakeholder events addressing critical climate resilience challenges. In 2022, Jemaris was selected as a delegate to the UN's One Young World Conference, a global platform for young leaders advancing sustainable development practices through innovation.
Jemaris holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Energy Policy from Georgia Tech, complementing her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez.
