Bob Marcum is the Deputy Director of the Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO). In 12 years with LPO, he has also served as the COO and the Director of the Portfolio Management Division.
With a dedication to completing and managing energy and infrastructure projects, Bob has significant experience in both the public and private sectors overseeing nearly $40 billion in capital investments supporting over $70 billion of projects. Before joining LPO, he was a finance manager at Saudi Aramco and led the financing of a joint venture export refinery. Prior to that, Bob was a senior loan officer with the Export-Import Bank of the United States and led teams in the closings of international debt financings in the power, energy, and transportation sectors. Earlier, he managed development and financing of independent power projects in Latin America and the Caribbean for Wärtsilä Development and Financial Services.
Bob earned an MBA from Georgetown University and has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
