Lena D. Kopp is a proud Native American entrepreneur from the Choctaw Nation with more than three decades of experience in the construction and trades industry. Her journey began in 1994, starting in the office before moving into the field as a laborer and ironworker. She quickly advanced into welding, where her skills and leadership flourished.
In 1999, Lena joined AltairStrickland, where she specialized in welding and quality assurance/control until 2012. During that time, she became a certified welding inspector and worked with Fluor Corporation from 2003 to 2012 in roles ranging from welder to supervisor and NCCER instructor in welding, ironworking, core curriculum, and rigging. She also contributed her expertise to AMEC in 2006 as a boilermaker supervisor and welder.
In 2013, Lena founded Kopps on the Run, LLC, a company providing drug and alcohol testing and collection services. The following year, she launched 4C Welding and Industrial Center, Inc., an NCCER-accredited training sponsor and assessment center. In 2021, she became co-owner of CYA Tool and Safety Supplies, a provider of safety clothing, footwear, and tools for the construction industry.
Lena has been an NCCER Master Trainer and Administrator since 2014 and became a certified Practical Rigging and Signal Person Examiner in 2016. In 2019, she was recognized as a subject matter expert in the crafts of safety, rigging, boilermaking, and welding.
In addition to her professional achievements, Lena is deeply committed to community service. She actively supports her local Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Club, and Rotary Club in Hugo, Oklahoma.In 2013, she founded Kopps on the Run LLC, which provides drug and alcohol testing and collection services, followed in 2014 by the 4C Welding and Industrial Center Inc., an NCCER-accredited training sponsor and assessment center. Since 2014, Lena Kopp has been certified as a master trainer and administrator by the NCCER and she qualified for certification as a practical rigging and signal person examiner in 2016. In 2019 she became subject matter expert within in NCCER in the crafts of safety, rigging, boiler making and welding. She does a lot of community service work through the chamber of commerce, Boys and Girls Club and Rotary Club in Hugo.
