Daniel "Scooter" Orr Daniel "Scooter" Orr, a Jacksonville, Florida native, began his career by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school. Serving in combat roles in both Iraq and Afghanistan, he developed a strong foundation of leadership, discipline, and resilience. Following his honorable discharge, he transitioned into the oil and gas industry, where he has dedicated the past 18 years to advancing safety and operational excellence. Now based in Oklahoma, Daniel serves as a Commissioner for the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, advocating for the more than 200,000 veterans across the state. He holds a B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, leveraging his expertise to enhance workplace safety standards. Driven by his passion for protecting workers in both general industry and the oil and gas sector, Daniel founded Titan Safety Consulting Services five years ago. Through Titan Safety, he helps businesses transform their safety culture and improve worker protection, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Beyond his work in safety consulting, Daniel also owns and operates a fly-fishing store in Oklahoma City, providing high-quality gear and expertise to the local outdoor community. An avid angler, he enjoys fly fishing, spending time with friends and family, and caring for his three dogs—Angus, Clyde, and Sage. A decade ago, Daniel relocated from Utah to Oklahoma for an opportunity with an oil and gas operator. Since then, he has embraced the state as his home. "This is now my home. Boomer!"
