Deric C. Feacher is extremely excited about the opportunity he has been afforded to serve as the city manager for Daytona Beach, where he leads a team of individuals dedicated to accelerating the vision and goals of the citizens, elected officials, business community and staff to make Daytona Beach the desired destination to live, work, play, learn and raise a family. Work History Deric has spent his professional career in government and consultant services. o City Manager of Winter Haven, Haines City and currently Daytona Beach, FL. o Director of Community Relations at Keiser University o Executive director of Winter Haven Housing Authority o Numerous progressively responsible roles in municipal government starting as a recreation supervisor, department director, and assistant city manager to his current role as city manager. Deric is a proven manager where municipalities under his leadership experienced major growth and progressive development for the residents of the community during his tenure. Deric was selected to serve as City Manager for the World’s Most Famous Beach, Daytona Beach, beginning his tenure June 1, 2021. Education Deric earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at Bethune-Cookman and completed Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives in State and Local Government Executive Education program.
