Ace VanDeWalle is the owner of Ord Locker, which he has successfully operated for the past 10 years. In 2020, he led the business through an expansion into a brand-new facility, and in 2025, the operation achieved USDA federal inspection status—allowing service to local school systems and supporting area producers in creating branded beef programs. Ace holds an Associate Degree in Ag Business from Northeast Community College, along with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Meat Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Growing up ranching in Nebraska fostered a deep appreciation for the state’s agricultural roots and the many opportunities the industry provides. That connection has fueled his dedication to advancing high-quality, locally rooted meat processing while helping showcase how Nebraska agriculture continues to evolve and thrive.
