Madison Kraft, is an LCSW, and an Assistant Clinical Director in which she supports multidisciplinary clinical teams in providing thoughtful, collaborative, and effective care. Her work spans clinical leadership, therapist development, training, program development, and direct client care. Madi is especially interested in the moments in therapy that are easy to overlook: when validation becomes avoidance, when being supportive starts replacing meaningful movement, and when the “rules” clinicians have learned about good therapy may not actually fit the person sitting in front of them. She believes some of the most important clinical growth happens when we are willing to examine our own habits, tolerate a little discomfort, and ask whether our interventions are creating real change. Her clinical approach draws from evidence-based practices including CBT and DBT with an emphasis on adapting treatment to the individual rather than expecting the individual to adapt to therapy. As a leader and trainer, Madi values authenticity, curiosity, humor, and conversations that are practical enough to use the next day. She is passionate about challenging the unspoken expectations of therapy, strengthening collaboration across disciplines, and helping clinicians think beyond “Was that supportive?” to “Did that actually help?” Her presentations are designed to be engaging, practical, and just uncomfortable enough to make you rethink some of the things we do simply because “that’s how therapy is done.” Above all, Madi believes some of the most meaningful clinical work happens when we are willing to be human first, while still having the courage to challenge ourselves and our clients toward meaningful change. When she isn’t working, you can usually find her surrounded by plants, hanging out with her cats, or convincing herself there is definitely room for just one more houseplant.
