Amanda Finn (Haggerty) is an arts journalist living in Rogers Park. She has had bylines in American Theatre Magazine, the Wisconsin State Journal, the Isthmus, Broadwayworld.com, Scapi Magazine, Newcity and Footlights Performing Arts Magazine. She has a degree in English, Theater and Film/Media Studies from Ripon College.
During her time with the State Journal Amanda won three Features writing awards in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association contests in 2017 and 2018. She is currently the Illinois editor and Venue Relations Coordinator for Footlights Performing Arts Magazine. She is also a freelance theater contributor for Scapi Magazine and a theater critic for Newcity.
As of August 2018 Amanda is also a member of the Joseph Jefferson Awards Committee in Chicago. She is a member of both the education and diversity committees.
Amanda attended the National Critics Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Center in 2015 and joined the American Theatre Critics Association (ATCA) in 2016. She is a member of ATCA's diversity and inclusion and Steinberg Award committees. She also serves as a script reader for the O'Neill Center's new plays initiative.
