Powering Up Community Schools: The National Guidelines for Integrated Student Support

Taylor Herring is a Student Support Coach at the Boston College Mary E. Walsh Center for Thriving Children. In her role, Taylor works with schools and districts implementing City Connects and other schools and districts moving towards best practices for integrated student support through the Systemic Student Support (S3) Academy. Taylor provides practical coaching, applying both her knowledge of the City Connects evidence-based practice, her experience in the field, and her clinical expertise as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Most recently, Taylor was a City Connects Coordinator at the Mendell School in the Boston Public Schools. Prior to her work as a Coordinator, Taylor served as a school-based clinician in the Somerville Public Schools where she provided individual therapy, engaged with families, and collaborated to promote a culture of support in the school. Taylor also has several years of experience as a mental health counselor and in-home therapist. She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.
