A native Texan, Rick is a retired United States Naval Officer, having served 23 years on active duty and making Hawaii home since 1980. His last assignment prior to retirement was with Force Communications, Naval Air Forces, Pacific. After retirement he co-founded The Fuel Oil Polishing Co. (FOPCO), a company dealing with the maintenance, upgrade, removal and installation of underground fuel systems in Hawaii to meet federal environmental requirements. In 1992 he founded FastLube, Inc. a Hawaii corporation with focus on the Automotive Convenience Service Industry under the Flagship Brand. He and his family built the company to include six (6) automotive fast lube centers that operate in the top one percent of centers in the nation. The six centers recently sold to a national chain, and the Price Family is now concentrating on expanding their Express Car Wash operation on Oahu. The Small Business Administration (SBA) honored him as �Employer of the Year� for his work with the Welfare to Work Program and his success in moving families and individuals from welfare to productive employment. His company was recognized as one of the �Top Fifty� fastest growing businesses in Hawaii for three consecutive years, and Operator of the Year by the International Automotive Oil Change Association. He was honored as Hawaii�s �Entrepreneurial Success of the Year� at the 2020 SBA Awards. Rick and wife Teresa were married in 1984. Teresa is also a retired Naval Officer having served 24 years with last assignment being Protocol Officer for Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
