Bill Martin a lifetime car washer has built and operated car washes in several different markets. in 1997 Bill, as a founding partner, merged his three car washes in Boise with car wash partners which was the genesis of Mister Car Wash. As a founding partner, Bill helped grow the company before retiring. Retirement didn’t last long as Bill founded Metro Express Car Washes which along with his three kids and now operates the Metro chain in Idaho, Washington, and Montana.
In the 90’s Bill partnered with Ernie Ionno to form Express Detail services and rolled out the "15 minute $19.99 hand wax and "interior Super clean", before selling the company to Blue Coral. Bill with his nephew Pete Ness founded NoPileups and rolled it out to the industry and subsequently selling the company to DRB. Recently Bill partnered with Jeff Pavone to form Amplify Car Wash advisors an M&A capital advisory firm serving the car wash industry. Bill is a past president of the ICA and a member of the Car Wash Hall of Fame.
