The study compared three rangeland management approaches for effectiveness in fodder growth in Blue Nile State, Sudan. In one plot staggered soil bunds were applied for rainwater harvesting and combined with herbicides for weed control. In the second plot herbicides were applied without soil bunds. The third plot was the control without soil bunds or weeds. The plot with rainwater harvesting was the most effective for fodder growth.:
This paper presents research that is aimed at exploring the opportunities that transformative digital science and technologies for sustainable transboundary water resources management. The research explores the implications of various disruptive digital technologies to the advancement of sustainable transboundary water cooperation. Potential applications identified include in empowering stakeholders, providing them with voice mechanisms and strengthening their participation in basin discourse through easy accesses to knowledge and information, and innovative capacity building for transboundary negotiation.
