This paper used a modelling approach to examine the prospect of stormwater harvesting as an alternative source of water in water stressed regions. The approach assessed was managed aquifer recharge, which involved temporarily holding water in ponds so as to increase infiltration. The paper estimated recharge rates and optimal withdrawal rates from the aquifer.:
This study applied community climate change adaptation assessment (C3A2) tools (two at county level, and eight at local community level) to collect sufficient evidence from local communities to inform climate adaptation planning and identification of resilient community-level adaptation options.
