This paper presents results of gender analysis carried out under the framework of the NBI project titled �Enhancing conjunctive management of surface and groundwater resources in selected trans-boundary aquifers: Case study for selected shared groundwater bodies in the Nile Basin�. The paper concludes with recommendation of a gender mainstreaming strategy to address the gender issues identified in the study and improve the conjunctive management of water :
