Steven Steele is a nationally recognized leader in fire protection training and workforce development, with more than 25 years of industry experience in field installation, system design, project management, and technical education. As Director of Training for the National Sprinkler Industry JTAC in Canada, he plays a key role in shaping how sprinkler fitters and apprentices are trained across Canada. A Red Seal–certified journeyperson and Applied Science Technologist, Steven has extensive expertise in fire protection systems and codes, including NFPA, CSA, and national building and fire codes. He has contributed extensively to the development of apprenticeship programs, curriculum standards, and interprovincial certification, helping to advance the profession at both provincial and national levels. Steven is an active member of multiple technical committees and advisory groups, where he serves as a subject matter expert influencing industry standards, education, and policy. Known for his practical insight and collaborative approach, he is passionate about supporting the next generation of skilled trades professionals and strengthening the fire protection industry across Canada.
