Amal El Gharbi is Project coordinator Gender and Diversity at the Association of Professional Journalists. The AJP has been active for over 10 years in gender and diversity in connection with journalism and has implemented a series of actions and projects in French-speaking Belgium, notably the publication of studies and barometers (the last one was presented in June 2019), the development and monitoring of Expertalia, a database of experts (with diverse backgrounds) which allows journalists to enrich their sources of expertise. Finally, the AJP is currently developing a platform for journalism students to raise awareness on equality and diversity issues, as well as a campaign to raise awareness on sexism in the profession. www.ajp.be/diversite www.expertalia.be
