Before and after founding Witcraft in 2008, Ursula worked in a variety of positions involving screenplay and film production with numerous writers and directors, f.e. Barbara Albert, Michael Glawogger, Tony Pemberton, Kirill Serebrennikov, Nathalie Borgers or Christian Frosch. Several of the screenplays she developed received script awards in Milan, Ghent, Sabam and Vienna. For her screenwriting, Ursula was awarded the Carl Mayer New Talent Prize. Witcraft Filmproduktion GmbH is an award-winning production company based in Vienna focusing on the development and production of feature films, TV series and documentaries, mainly art-house and comedy. Ursula has also taught dramaturgy, e.g. in the University of Applied Sciences for Film, TV and Media Production and at several training initiatives.The script development program DIVERSE GESCHICHTEN (DIVERSE STORIES) that she is running for the eight years, was nominated for the Austrian National Award for Adult Education. Another project, co-conceived by Ursula, is PROPRO – THE PRODUCERS’ PROGRAMME FOR WOMEN, an initiative of the Austrian Film Institute. Ursula has been member of several Juries, including the Project Commission of the Austrian Film Institute. She’s member of the European Film Academy, the Austrian Film Academy and FC Gloria, Film Fatal and National Coordinator for EAVE.
