Gretchen Gerrish serves as the director of UW Madison's Trout Lake Station. She is an evolutionary ecologist that studies how organisms adapt to changing ecological conditions. Her research focuses on aquatic organisms with unique life cycles and reproductive strategies that allow them to survive in variable environments.
