Warren received an MS in Limnology from UW Madison & an MS in Botany with Phycology thesis from UW Milwaukee. Drs. Arthur Hasler, John Magnuson and Jim Kitchell were Warren's graduate committee at Madison. He worked for eight years as an aquatic ecology consultant for CDM Limnetics and IEP in Milwaukee and then worked in the environmental department of a mid-west utility for 32 years. Warren became curious about Chinese Mystery Snail in Loon Lake and started systematically studying them in 2013. He is passionate about aquatic ecology. The dramatic change in lake elevation in 2017 offers a great opportunity to study how aquatic communities and invasive species adapt.
