Two Presentations: Managing Phosphorus Contributions from Lake Riparian Areas
8:00 AM - 8:50 AM Fri
Paul worked for over 39 years with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a research scientist. While there, he worked on projects to develop restoration methods for lakes, developed techniques to evaluate water quality conditions for lakes, wetlands, rivers, and streams, and measured the impact of acid precipitation and nutrient pollution on lakes. One of his specialties was using sediment cores to reconstruct the water quality history of lakes. Since 2016 he has worked for Onterra, LLC using sediment cores to compare present day water quality conditions to how conditions were over 100 years ago. He also helps interpret water quality data to develop scientifically based lake management plans.
