Rebecca holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from UW-Platteville and an MBA from Colorado State University's Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise program. She has over 17 years of national and international experience as a sustainability consultant, engineer, community planner, and entrepreneur. Rebecca’s training and years of experience in water resources engineering provide her with a unique set of problem solving skills and technical perspective. An MBA in social entrepreneurship, and work on water and sanitation issues in rural Kenya, contribute to her ability to balance the environmental, social, and economic impacts of any decision in collaboration with a diverse group of teammates and stakeholders. And almost a decade as a junior partner with a niche sustainability consulting and community planning consulting firm offer her an understanding of city processes; from setting policy to engaging stakeholders, considering the important role of equity throughout the process. Since early 2019, Rebecca has served as the Lake Michigan Basin Supervisor for the Office of Great Waters with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In this role, she leads a team responsible for planning and implementing actions to protect and restore Lake Michigan.
