Sergeant Mark C. Nales, II is a father and husband. As one of the Highway Patrol’s Interdiction for the Protection of Children (IPC) coordinators, he routinely assists Troopers and other LEOs with investigations ranging from narcotics to rescuing missing/exploited children and identifying high-risk threats to children. He is responsible for facilitating coordination between law enforcement at every level and civilian partners across multiple disciplines. With a Master of Science in Criminal Justice – Public Administration, he has an unrelenting passion for tackling human trafficking and other major crimes threatening our state. He brings a wealth of investigative knowledge and experience to the table, having proven himself an asset in investigations at every level, from local to federal. He believes in teamwork making the dream work and being wise enough to embrace a better way of doing things, even when it contradicts “how it’s always been done.”
