James R. Brunet is Associate Professor of Public Administration and Director of the Public Safety Leadership Initiative at NC State University. Dr. Brunet’s research broadly seeks to improve police performance and management. His work has been published in a variety of outlets including Public Administration Review, Administration & Society, and American Review of Public Administration. He is currently developing a virtual reality (VR) training program to improve cross-cultural relations between police and Latino residents. He directs law enforcement leadership and educational programs at NC State. He has taught thousands of public safety officials with many attaining command-level positions.
